Because 64 bit Windows PCs cannot run 16 bit applications, our very old Windows user installation programs, created using the Wise install software, cannot be used. While we still have our Wise source, Symantec, who purchased Wise from Great Lakes Software, does not offer an upgrade path. Because Symantec's product is so expensive, because our needs are so limited and because we have to start over from zero anyway, I am looking for an alternative solution. Our simple needs are these: We need to create Windows install programs that can make folders, copy files, add entries to the Start program list, and install a desktop icon. We don't need it to be fancy, although the ability to include a Windows uninstall facility would be nice too.
Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
