I was just wondering if anyone has ever implemented or tested a webservice, especially in a unix environment.

Hi,

We developed a prototype for one of our customers using Acucorp's partner product from Transoft. The customer didn't go ahead because the price was too high (for the 3rd party apps).

We are now in the middle of developing a web-service for another customer using Sun Java Application Server 9.1, AcuXDBC Enterprise Edition (with JDBC) and J2EE. There won't be any COBOL involved but it will be updating the Vision files from our COBOL ERP application.

Both of these are Linux environments.

Cheers,

Ian
