Hi,

Can someone please tell me why GOTO-CELL-MOUSE-DRAG doesn't work when running under thin client.

Any since the above doesn't work, is there another easy alternative to accomplish the same?

Thanks,

Shaun

Are you trying to allow the section of a grid to change color?

The drag-color property of a grid was put in especially for this action under Thin client.

The ACUCOBOL-GT manuals has a note about MSG-GOTO-CELL-DRAG (Note that this action has poor performance in applications that run with the ACUCOBOL-GT Thin Client.)

The only alternative that I can think of is to watch for the MSG-BEGIN-DRAG event and then INQUIRE grid-1, CURSOR-X in ws-x, CURSOR-Y in ws-y. Then get theMSG-END-DRAG event and when this occurs you MODIFY grid-1, CURSOR-X = ws-x, CURSOR-Y = ws-y. You can then determine which section of the grid you want to send the user to.

No, I don't want to change color.

Just trying to stop the user getting to a cell without certain things happening in the first place via the keyboard.

I'm currently doing as you suggest, however if the user starts dragging and puts the cursor over a cell then starts to type it lets him, because the END-DRAG never happens.
