In the latest newsletter from Acu it has a case study about the Archdiocese schools using Acucobol with thin client in a Linux environment. One sentence reads:

It was also able to provide a GUI on Linux

Does anyone know if this is referring to running the thin client itself in Linux? Or is it just referring to the back-end running on a Linux server?

If that is the case, then the article (and in particular that sentence) is very misleading.

The 'GUI' is not 'on' Linux. The GUI (Graphical User Interface) is on the Windows Client machines.

Of course anyone doing a google for "acucobol gui on linux" will probably find this article!
