Folks,

Quick question here.

Basically can you have within Extend 2 forms on the same area at the same time - one doesn't need to do anything apart from just sit there and look pretty!

I.E., a user is in order input, and enters a product with some possible alternative products which can be sold.
I want them to carry on working away, but be able to see this other screen with the alternative items on it.

Pretty much the same at the "find" function within the acubench code editor.

Hope that mankes sense?

Many thanks,

Shaun

That's a good use of the "thread" technique. It gives you the best of both worlds. The display can just sit there or the user can bounce back and forth between the "order input" and "product display screen" both visible at the same time. Just make the "product display" form in a "floating graphical window" so the user can move it about to a comfortable location.

There's a good example of using threads in the sample programs.
