I am trying to run the version 2.3.2 compiler under Windows-XP and am getting the message "Out of Main Memory!" for large programs. I did not have this problem under Windows-98. Are there any parameter settings that will allow me to circumvent this problem?

2.3.2 is pretty old, I doubt we supported XP back then...

:-)

No, seriously, I presume this is a MSDOS runtime, right? If so, it is probably your memory settings that has to be tweaked.

If you rightclick your desktop, select New, then select shortcut. Then enter the full path to your runtime and parameters, like for instance:

c:\\mydir\\runcbl.exe mycobapp.acu

and finish.

You should now have a shortcut on the desktop, right click this and select properties.

Now select the Memory tab. Check your settings there to see if there is some you can increase.

Alternatively, select the Compatibility tab and select compatibility mode for Windows 98 (for which you said this used to work).

The best option of course, is to upgrade to the latest and greatest runtime.
