Has anybody out there know if there is a way to preload a form (.jpg) while printing a form through the windows spooler, without issuing a call win$bitmap each and every time a new page is to be printed.

I know there is to load a form into the printer's memory when not processing through the spooler (i.e, -Q printername), I was wondering if there is a windows api do to the same when processing as -p spooler and taking advantage of the windows driver.

You can do this, but it is printer dependent and not something you can do with the Win API. Thus, it would be a special case for every installation unless they had the same printers.

Thank you for the response, we have been looking on the Web and have found 2 links that would satify this request, however, they are not royalty free, can you guide me a little has to how I would get this done regardless of the printer dependancy.

You will have to look up the manuals for the particular printer, look up the programming language for the printer (for instance for HP printers this would typically be PCL). There you have to browse the index to find the escape sequences for how to download an image to the printer and store it in the printers memory. There will probably also be some instructions on how to activate it.
