When using this variable to get a Vista-look, my label (on a tab frame) exhibits a darker background-color. To resolve this problem I must use the 'transparent'property. But this means that, in order to get the vista-style, I should change and recompile all programs that have labels on tab-frames.
I don't want to do that; is there no other solution?

I tried searching on the wrun32_nativectls and couldn't find it. Do you have more details on it and what it is supposed to do?

Try look in the configuration entry section of the runtime manual for WIN32_NATIVECTLS (*not* wrun32, but WIN32) and you should find a nice load of documentation.

Ok, found it but only in the 8.1 manual. So am I to assume this was not supported on 7.2.1?

Correct, this is new with 8.1.
