Hello All
I was wondering if it would be possible to add the requestorPhone to the panel CMNLIST0 as a criteria field
The reason is, via the global admin this field can be assigned another meaning (which we did, at our shop this has a value indicating the type of material in the package). As the field can be adjusted we were wondering if it would be possible to through the interface have this field available to narrow down a list of packages based on that field
The XML service Package,Gen_prms,Search supports it so I hope the investment should not be that high ? :-)
Thank you
Best regards
Johan

Hi Johan,
I have created CMZMF-5289 (Add package requestor name and requestor phone to the CMNLIST0/8 and CMNQUERY00/01 package search selection criteria panels), accepted for consideration for ZMF 8.3 Patch 2. This would likely include providing these fields to the CMNEX* exits, but not all HLL exits at this time. If there are specific HLL exits where you need these fields to be available, please let me know.
Thanks.

Hi Johan,
package.general.search currently does a special scan type filtering on package title, requestor name and requestor phone. This means that a package is returned if the requested value exists anywhere in the field, irrespective of case.
For example, searching for requestor name "John" will return packages with requestor "JOHN" and "Andrew Johnson". Searching for "TYPE12" will return "TYPE12", "TYPE1289", etc.
Will this work for you, or do we need to consider changing this behavior?

Hello Peter,
If you want to be consistent with the other fields t should contain a '*' if you want to get the others
If you want to search on a specific value the existing implementation would not allow this
eg : if workChangeRequest is provided RLSB25, and there are RLSB2511,RRLSB2512, ..; the service will return RC=8 and reason 6504
To my opinion, this should be the same for requestor name and phone
But that is just me :-)
Best regards
Johan
