An engineer is trying to use the git connector with ChangeMan ZMF/ERO version 8.3.0.   We are using the previous version of the ZMF zowe cli (2.0.4) because of bug in latest version.   The engineer is able to clone the ChangeMan package, they edit source using git.  They commit changes.  No change is made in ChangeMan package.   Engineer pushs the changes and no change is made in ChangeMan package.

Hi Lisa,
From the git-ZMF.log file (thanks for posting this) I can see that the local git repo is here:
C:\\Users\\abc9999\\OneDrive - Northwestern Mutual\\Documents\\Projects\\ZMF Git\\RT01000030
There is an existing problem, which is being worked on for ZMF 8.3patch2, where path names with imbedded blanks (such as the one above) can not be processed successfully by the gitZMF connector. The only work-around, at the moment, is to make sure your repo path does not contain imbedded blanks.
Further to this, in testing we have found that networked drives (i.e. with UNC path names, e.g. \\\\serverName\\etc\\etc\\... ) are not supported by some windows command processors and this also causes the gitZMF connector to fail silently - there's nothing we can do about that - so beware of that issue.
I am still investigating the imbedded blanks issue and will let you know the outcome (at minimum we will validate the path name and produce a relevant error message rather than silently failing).
All the best  -  Steve

Hi Steve,
we've exactly the same problem because our Application Code has only 3 chars so all ChangeMan ZMF packages have a blank beetween the application code and the package number. May we be confident that in 8.3.2 it will be solved?
Thank you.

Hi Stefano,
I can confirm that the "imbedded blank" issue has been addressed in the version of the ZMF git connector targeted for release with ZMF 8.3patch2.
