Hello,

We have some problem with the ZMF Explorer plugin in VS-Code:
some users see the "right click" create package, some others can't.
The users which are unable to see the option to create a Package, can see the Package list itself.

All those users of course are able to create packages from 3270 ISPF interface.
This is what users should see.

In the picture the user has the ability to see all the packages for application CM# but no package for application BKA.
For some applications, some users can see the full list of the packages, some others (see the picture) will not see anything.

Notice: the user that is not able to see BKA packages list is the ChangeMan administrator so RACF is for sure ok.

We set up the debug level but we cannot see anything in zmfExplorer.log nor in the Tomcat started task nor in ChangeMan started task.

Could it be something related to the UI in VS-Code? Is there a "debug" for the UI related to ZMF Explorer?

Notice: no filter is used.

When no packages are displayed the user just get a VS-Code error message:

Something that may be particular in our ChangeMan is that we have applications with only 3 char. (not 4) so the package names have a "blank" after their name and before the number.

The ability to create a package within the ZMF Explorer was experimental.

Based on feedback, the feature was disabled due to the complexity and the number of parameters required to create a package in the ZMF Explorer and the lack of REST api's at this time to simplify the process.

In regards to some users not being able to see some packages whilst others can, I will look into that.
I have tested this and it works fine here.  Ensuring that there are no filters active..

Please ensure that you are running V2.0.5 and let me know if the same problem persists whereby the Packages are not being displayed for those users.

Thank you David.

So somehow the "create package" is deprecated?

Ok but I'm still not understanding why some users can see the "create package" at right click and some others can't.

How could it be disabled for everybody?

Those users must still be running an older version of the ZMF Explorer and not yet upgraded to V2.0.5.

Hi David,

I'm a "mainframe guy" so sometimes I get lost....

I really had an older version of Vscode so the "latest" version of ZMF Explorer proposed for me was also an old ZMF Explorer (v.2.0.3)...

Now I've the latest Vscode version and ZMF Explorer v.2.0.5 and it makes sense: no more "create package" command and the list of the packages is ok.
