I have testing Cobol web services using Visual Cobol 2.2. My two webservices are: a simple calc with two methods, add and subtract; and my second WS with four operations read, write, rewrite and delete on a indexed file. Both WS work in a simplest way and testing from a Cobol client created by Eclipse. Now i wish to access webservices with a Java program: Java client consuming data from a Cobol web service, but i can't and need a documentation reference. With Java and .NET i use a SOAP webservice and i have a WSDL file; then use the reference "?wsdl" in the url for create the connection (using the wizard on Eclipse and VStudio). This method does not work with the Cobol web services. Any help?, Thanks. Enrique.

Hi everybody. I have 2 files as below : 1. MAIN.cbl  2. SUB.cbl In MAIN.cbl : CALL 'SUB'. PERFORM  HELLO-PAR.    HELLO-PAR.    display 'HELLO EVERYBODY'. In SUB.cbl : I want use HELLO-PAR paragraph and don't want code again it. I try to PERFORM HELLO-PAR but have error. How do this ? Plz show me. Thanks !

Problem: The application is deployed by including copies of the ACUCOBOL-GT directories rather than running the ACUCOBOL-GT installer.  With version 10.1.0, when deploying this way, the AcuServer, AcuConnect, and AcuToWeb Control Panels do not work.  When trying to add or start a new service there is an error "The system cannot find the file specified".  Resolution: Beginning in version 10.1.0 the three control panels depend on a registry entry to tell the service where to find the executable.  When deploying  a copy of the ACUCOBOL-GT installation directories you must ensure that the registry entry is added.  This will enable the Control Panels for AcuServer, AcuConnect, and AcuToWeb to function normally. Here's what to do (assuming 64-bit OS): 1. Hi all. I'm a 30 year Cobol (mainframe) veteran, but currently working on my first RM/Cobol AIX system. It currently has a small size default for file creation. I need to change this - probably to 16GB. - I understand that the following is what I need: RUN-FILES-ATTR large-file-lock-limit=16RUN-INDEX-FILES force-index=no key-compression=yes use-large-file-lock-limit=yes - in /usr/rmcobol  directory, there is a terminfo.cfg but not the runcobol.cfg which I have read about.  I assume the terminfo.cfg is where these paramters go, as they are already there. I just need to update the limit to 16. - i have updated it. I ran a test program to create a new test file. But rmmapinx is telling me the new file only has a lock limit of 2GB. Can anyone tell me what else needs to be done for it to take effect? Do I actually have to reboot the AIX server? Thanks

Hello,I RETAIN my Net Express 5.1 “wrappack 12” from my Pc, and when I reinstall it with “wrappack 6” I found the license is corrupted, I checked the License Management System Configuration status =the license is not setup correctly.I just exit from it and back to it again I found the License Management System Configuration status = Full license and Net Express working fine, but after some days the same situation happened again and I solve it with the same solution I mentioned.Please any solution to correct this issue.

We're trying to call the following C function from COBOL: unsigned int MagickSetResolution( MagickWand *wand, const double x_resolution, const double y_resolution ); This function is part of the GraphicsMagick Wand API. The problem is in the 'double' parameters. It's not possible to CALL using a variable declared as USAGE IS DOUBLE, this gives the following compiler error: BY VALUE parameter WWK-RES-X illegal type We tried a variety of different options, including PIC X(8) COMP-N, but nothing seems to work. Is calling this function even possible? N.B. we're using the 32 bit runtime.

Wh have a problem in our test Environment for batch as we have several databases and the same programs executes on all of them. As soon as one person compiles and binds a program to one database you get a -818 when trying to execute it on a different database. This generates lots of rebinding and we would really like to get rid of this problem.  Maybe the REOPT ALWAYS option could solve it but is there another way? Anyone who can point out the direction where to find a solution to this problem? regards PI  

VS2013 / VC 2.2 I know how to have a Native program CALL another Native program (a traditional CALL).I know how to have a Native program INVOKE a Managed Windows program/app (CCW/COM Interop). What I can't figure out is how to have a Native program CALL? / INVOKE? a Managed Console program.Would like to see an example. Thanks

Up to the Moment I receive QR codes  as¨*.bmp file. I have no Problem to print them with PC_PRINTER_LOAD_BMP  and PC_PRINTER_WRITE_BMP.  I was informed, that I will receive in future the QR code as  *.JPG  file.   Is there a possibility to print them from a NETEXPRESS program. Or does somebody know how I can include them in my invoices. Thanks for any help. Rolf

When i run by ctrl f11 then the result in console command is : 000135012345- But when i run this project on OpenCobolIDE then result is correct :  00013.50 -123.45 Plz help me.#CobolEclipse

I have a new Windows 7 professional laptop, and need to install NetExpress 3.1.  I have the original CD, but it does not install.  Is there any downloads available to make this work.  I have to have 3.1 for current client support. Thanks

I followed the instructions from this link: community.microfocus.com/.../11460.aspx I tried setting a procedure-pointer to the Windows libraries in order to load them but I get error 173 when executing the set procedure pointer statements. For example:  set pp to entry "kernel32.dll". I had to set up project references to the libraries in my SysWOW64 folder.  Does anyone know why setting a procedure-pointer isn't working? This happens even if I include SywWOW64 in the path.

Could you help me? I'm a student taking COBOL and I downloaded the Microfocus Visual COBOL PE and installed it in Visual Studio 15 Professional. When I create a COBOL project I get a product activation menu that asks if I want to activate automatically or manually. I tried activating automatically and got a "MG0006: Unable to authorize the request." error. So I tried activating manually and sent an email containing some kind of encrypted string to the license request email address at Microfocus. A Few minutes later I got back an email saying, "Authorization Process Error. The following error occurred during the authorization process: MG0006: Unable to authorize the request. I tried rebooting, reinstalling both Visual Studio and Visual COBOL, and searched the knowledgebase for a solution. This is my dad's computer (he owns Visual Studio 2015) and I don't know what to do.
