Has anyone successfully used this ?Is there anyone at MicroFocus, ( developer, support person, etc, ), that can tell me that it actually works.  I am trying to talk to a Verifone credit card reader connect on my network. #CSOCKET#Verifone

I am a complete newbie when it comes to socket and HTML connections.I can get SOCKCLI, SOCKSRV1 and SOCKSRVM to work but not SOCKHTML.When I type a web address or IP address as SERVER-NAME, I get 'Unable to connect to server'.When I type plain numbers instead, the program stops responding.Is there a specific format for SERVER-NAME? How to get this program to work? What does this program actually do?

Hi,for continuous integration purposes, I would need to build single .netmodules from my Visual Cobol Classes. They will be joined in a single assembly and distributed.I'm looking for a command like csc or vbc, that takes  a class as input and build from it a  .netmodule. We were testing upgrading from 6.2 to 10. When running runcbl we get the message "sh: runcbl: Execute permission denied." The file is protected 777.When I do a file command:[d1::/opt/acucobol62/bin]grs20 test $ file runcblruncbl:         ELF-64 executable object file - PA-RISC 2.0 (LP64)[d1::/opt/acucobol1001/bin]grs20 test $ file runcblruncbl:         ELF-64 executable object fileDoes anyone know what this means. Hi,I have a problem with HttpPost with https and rmnet.dll.HttpGet with https works well.HttpPost with http also.But HttpPost with https gives always a 400 Bad Request.It works also with the program Postman and I used the same address in my application.Does HttpPost with https require more info in the header than the Authorization ?Does anyone have a working example for this issue ?

Microsoft have end the Support of win7 on 14.1.2020.What plan MF for their customer who works with Netexpress 5.0 and lower or older Workbench?Or forced MF all customer to migrate to Visual Cobol?What plan customers, how do you solve this actual Problem?Thanks for many answers!

What would cause a program to compile cleanly in debug mode but in release mode fails and reports the following error:  Undefined data item: CURRENT-DATE ????Running Acubench for 10.1.1.  Newly installed on a clean system but was doing the same thing on an old system. Release Compile options = -ox .\\object\\@.acu -Fo c:\\A2\\datafiles -SaDebug   Compile options = -ox .\\object\\@.acu -Cp -Fo c:\\A2\\datafiles -Sa8 -GaWhat am I missing?Thanks for your help. 

Win10 64bit, Visual Studio Pro 2019, Visual Cobol 5.0i see that the Compiler create /bin and /obj directories, than subdirectory /x86 and under this /release and /debugWhy double directories in /bin and /obj?is it possible as in Netexpress 5.x to create automatically an Output Directory with all modules (included mf-runtime modules)?Thanks for help

     I have a project with one main form and six sub-forms. While entering code for Form5 I received the message "COBCH0804: Source limit of 2200 procedure lines exceeded". The main form is a menu with some procedures that do not use forms. The sub-forms are self contained and send no data back to the main form. What can I do to finish my project?      On another subject. I have a form containing one text box and several labels. I have captured the return key and send the tab key. When I use the enter key to terminate an entry the bell sounds. This does not happen if I use "TAB". What can I do to silence the bell in this instance?  

Problem: When you have a COBOL array defined in a COBOL class and expose all the array items as properties like below: class-id squarebrackets.Class1. working-storage section. 01 cob-array property all.    05 my-occurs occurs 3 times.       10 my-field pic x.       end class. And you reference the array item in your managed COBOL program using square brackets and provide a index number like below: "type Class1::my-field" if the property is a static property. "myobject::my-field" if the property is an instance property. You will get the COBCH1722 or COBCH1723 compile error when building the application. Resolution: The [] syntax can be used in two situations: 1) For indexing an array (with zero based indexes) 2) For passing parameters to an indexer, defined on the type of the item.  e.g. the indexer for the List type in .NET (System.Collections.Generic.List) expects an int parameter

i had this Problem that i don't anderstand at this time.i use datepicker in many programs and never had this Problem.In this example and program i use datepicker. First time calling this Programm there is no Problem, may be the second time or third time or fourth time.I have search many hours on this Errors and have integrated a simple solution.The datepicker program is generated with Dialog System.On the Entry ProgramID & "OnDestroyed" USING anEvent, i can see that after calling the program more times, the object reference of aDictionary has no value.To solve this Problem, i have add in the Entry "C" & ProgramID USING EntryPoint-Data a new line at beginning: set 1stTimeThru to true and now i can run the program a many times without Problem.Who anderstand this Problem and had a better solution? i have join filesThanks for help!

I am tying to run the vutil - rebuild  with k K0, k1 , k2.Essentially I am losing records. One of the links in community center says we need to write Cobol program.  Would be really helpful if any of teh members can share a sample file or utility that helps rebuild this.This program would have the form:   Open input Original-File  Open output Master-File  Start Original-File at Low Values  Read Original-File Next Record* Set Declaratives so that error 98's are trapped , and* the response is to increment the current key by 1 in the* least significant digit, and the start is re-tried.* Code your Start with an Invalid Key phrase which does* the same thing.  Write Master-File. the runtime configuration option, "ERRORS-OK" will need to be set to 1 in order to open the corrupt file.
