| Error Message | |
| Defect/Enhancement Number | |
| Cause | If a client is trying to reach an indirect persistent Orbix server using TLS encryption and said server holds a certificate that has expired, the locator will cycle through a series of LOCATION_FORWARD requests and fail ultimately sending back to the client an exception indicating that a maximum number of location forward requests has been exceeded. In reality, the expired certificate is what's causing the problem, but for security reasons information about certificates will not be sent back to the requesting client. |
| Resolution | Ensure all certificates on the server side are valid and also verify they have not expired |
