| Cause | |
| Resolution | Yes, Orbix 3.3 daemon can be set to be auto started as Windows service. By doing that, Orbix daemon will start without having any user logged in to the machine. The Orbix 3.3 administration guide http://supportline.microfocus.com/Documentation/books/Orbix/33sp11/orbix_3311_admin_guide_java.pdf lists on page 113 the following "orbixd" option: orbixd -j: (NT-only) Installs the daemon as an NT service. The service must be started manually using the Services Control Panel. This starts the daemon with <path>\\orbixd -b. By using this option, Orbix daemon will be registered with Windows as a service. The start-up mode can later be changed to "Automatic", in order for Orbix daemon to be started automatically during Windows mooting process. |
