I installed packages from zoss-appdev and noticed that permissions of installed files are 775 resp. 664 which is bad. Hi,I have curl 7.52.1 (i370-ibm-openedition) and it does not support PK12 certificaates, then I need to download the latest CURL for z/OS. I know that I can do with MINICONDA but the problem is it requires internet connectivity of our mianfarme to donwload. Firstly great idea and impressive suite of tools . Good morning,I have install git using miniconda. This install process using miniconda is very easy, and I like how it sorts out the pre-reqs. Getting back to topic I am in the process of install zGIT, which is a ISPF, ZOWE and ZOSMF interface for Git. The problem I have is that as part of the customisation, I need to reference the directory where Rocket Software's Ported Tools was installed. I am not sure where this is as I can see references to Git in several bin directories. Any suggestions on where I should be looking? zGIT wants $GITBASE to be something like /usr/rocket/miniconda where I install both miniconda and git(through miniconda)Some of the directories match..... but not allThanksBen------------------------------Benjamin Thompsonz Client ArchitectIBM------------------------------

Hi all,I've successfully installed PHP v5.4.4 into my OMVS environment and I've also successfully created an instance of IHS (IBM_HTTP_Server/9.0.0.6) in my z/OS 2.3 environment. I'm at a loss when it comes to integrating PHP into that HTTP server instance. I know there will need to be changes to my httpd.conf and that I'll have to create some sort of php.cgi file, but I cannot find any specifics when it comes to this. Hi, I have installed the miniconda package to enable the upgrade of curl. What was a pretty easy install is now.. well, not easy any more. By requiring miniconda running on USS the requirement to connect directly from 'MVS' to an external site is enforced. This has never been done here and will take some time to get approvals, firewalls etc.. I have a deadline to get curl upgraded before I can get these approvals. Hi there,If I compare the Rocket Ported Tools and the new z/OS Miniconda I see that the following tools are in Rocket Ported Tools but not in z/OS Minicondaautoconf automake bison cvs expect findutils groff m4 mc nedit openssl31-bit pkg-config tcl webalizer (Ok, let us forget about cvs which is not really needed nowadays).There are some issues I have with the situation The tools missing are no longer available from the download page. Does it mean they are simply no longer offered by Rocket? If the missing tools shall be used I have to install them in a different location than the ones delivered via z/OS Miniconda 3. is not really a good situation from an installation point of view. Hi all,This is a bit the opposite question to the one asked earlier about amode 64.My application is actually LE amode 31, and I am calling a function which is within the libcrypto.a archive. I found that apparently all the modules within this archive on the Rocket system (/rsusr/ported) are amode 64. While using bash with the command:  env | sort > env.txtthe env.txt is tagged as ISO8859-1BUT when using the /bin/sh shell with the same command the file is tagged as IBM-1047Pertinent entries from the env results:_BPXK_AUTOCVT=ON _CEE_RUNOPTS=FILETAG(AUTOCVT,AUTOTAG) POSIX(ON)_TAG_REDIR_ERR=txt _TAG_REDIR_IN=txt _TAG_REDIR_OUT=txt On this LPAR a cat of the ISO-8859-1 file while in /bin/sh results in what looks like ascii while under bash it displays fine.On another LPAR - same profile (env) values the files have the same tags but a cat will work with both to display something usable.???------------------------------Lionel Dycklbdyck------------------------------

So this is odd.  I use OMVS as my entry to my z/OS shell.  Curl and bash and bash work fine.  Openssl mostly works fine, with one quirk.  If I try openssl before having executed bash or curl in the same shell session the output from openssl doesn't seem to be converted from ASCII to EBCDIC, and is thus unreadable.  But if, as I said, I have used curl or bash in the same session then openssl now works.Here is an example: IBM Licensed Material - Property of IBM 5650-ZOS Copyright IBM Corp. 1993, 2017 (C) Copyright Mortice Kern Systems, Inc., 1985, 1996. Following on from my question around 7zip archive formats, I've downloaded and tried unzip on a sample file I've been provided with. Hi all, sorry if I'm asking something that is not directly related to Rocket Software, but I figured this forum could be my best chance to get an answer, as Google let me down this time 🙁 I am trying to check for the existence of a directory and create it if it doesn't exist. However, when run from Rexx code I get this error (the output is mangled by my error trap routine): Command: test ! -e '/u/sigdc/sigdc.hna.gitdev/source' && mkdir -p /u/sigdc/sigdc.hna.gitdev/source Error: cannot continue (RC = 127)Error Detail: CMD: FSUM7351 not found *** I think that the problem lies in the concatenation of commands with "&&", but I can't find a way to fix it.
