Hello I would like to know the end of support date for the EOS for Z/OS 2.0 and 2.1 product? please Thanks in advance------------------------------Alain charletRocket Forum Shared Account------------------------------
In VSCode Marketplace - ZMF Explorer Prerequisites just lists Zowe and "Access to ChangeMan ZMF subsytems": https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=Micro-Focus-AMC.zmfexplorer&ssr=false#overview Is there a full prerequisites detailed list? I may presume that also setting up a proper infrastructure for ZMF Rest Services is a prerequiste but I still haven't found a documentation about what must be implemented for getting the ZMF Explorer or ChangeMan ZMF plugin for zowe CLI to work properly. I'm reading the 8.3.0 ChangeMan manual "REST Services Getting Started Guide" but is focused on Jenkins. Just setting up the Tomcat on z/OS and make the basic REST API available would be enough? Is there some link to a "sample setup process" available? Thank you. #ChangeManZMF#REST#Zowecli#ZMFExplorer
Wondering what's new with ChangeMan ZMF? Yesterday, we went live with a webinar highlighting the recent release of ChangeMan ZMF 8.3.1. ChangeMan ZMF 8.3.1 is the team's first release under Rocket Software. During the webinar, our team demonstrated a selection of new features and provided an overview of other key capabilities. Additionally, the team shared an update on the Rocket acquisition, what's planned for 8.3.2, and when 8.2.x will be retired. ▶️ If you've missed it, you can now watch it on demand here. We have several users that are getting kicked out of their Eclipse session with an LBO error message (Func=DISCONCT complete RC=0 Reason=6010). I cannot find 6010 in the ZMF Messages Guide. Can anyone provide guidance?------------------------------Jim HaworthTechnology EngineerNationwide Mutual Insurance Company------------------------------
Hi, we have recently installed openssl on our OMVS partitions: normally we use RACF as a KeyStore for certificates. Any integration is foreseen / possible to use RACF as a key store, as for SecureZip ? Or the only way is to manage a local KeyStore in the OMVS partition? Thanks
Hello, we use the USERSEC XML to check the CMN authorizations 'online' (during execution of rexx-programs). Only this XML service is not allowed to be used. Would it be possible to provide a alternative for this XML-service so we are able to check the CMN-rights of users in our processes. As I'm not an expert in Rexx-programs (nor assembler programs) : Is it possible to call this assembler exit SERLCSEC also from rexx and pass the same arguments as in USERSECuser / entity / resourceClass / access ?If possible ... can you give an example on how to call ?Kind Regards ------------------------------Wim PriemKbc GroupeBrussel BE------------------------------

I was curious, today Broadcom is making a very hard connection with Git and its repository Today the possible migration from Changeman to Endevor is on the table due to the lack of a proper roadmap on an descent integration between Git-VSCode and Changeman What are the tough of the community on this ?------------------------------Johan JacobEuroclearBrussels BE------------------------------
Anybody have tried to connect Python on z/OS to Oracle database. I'd appreciate any tips and clues.
Status: New IdeaIn ZMF 83, the promotion cleanup processing has been modified so that a new transaction '70' is generated if the install package was promoted to a test environment(s). When the respective CMN25 or CMN30 job executes (uses the same skel to build the cleanup service), the jobcard is still using the setup in A.A.8 however, the job being submitted is CMN70xxxxx jobname via CMNEX008. This creates an issue in that there are some remote sites (as in our case) that have specific jobcard requirements for the jobname etc. For instance, we have a remote site that the application needs to have //#xxxxxx as jobcard for multiple reasons. Also, when trying to determine why a cleanup failed, prior to V830, the jobcard was the same as entered in A.A.8. Now, the jobcard is CMNx70xx making it difficult to locate and diagnose. We are requesting that this promotion cleanup build process be either modified or moved away from CMNEX008 and a skel (or combination t

In ZMF 8.3 when the CMN20 job fails, the package is set to the new status of 'XIN'. If a user attempts to revert the package they receive the following error message: CMN3320A - Packages in XIN status cannot be reverted. Use Backout. If the user attempts to backout the package they receive the following error message which contradicts the previous 'CMN3320A' message: CMN1275A - Status must be BAS for ALL, DEV, or DEVPROD and INS for PROD. Status: Waiting for VotesHello, When we request a promotion with ZMF4ECL 83 it is possible to select several Levels for the same site. But it's no use because when Level 30 is promoted, Level 10 and 20 are cleaned. We need a way to block the selection of several Levels of the same site in ZMF4ECL. In ZMF4ECL 826 we did not have the problem because the choice of Level was in a drop-down list...#ZMF4ECL#HLLX
Status: New IdeaThe current backout process makes no distinction between newly delivered and existing components. E.g., if a package contains a new module (i.e. it was baselined for the first time with the package to be backed out), then it does not exist yet in the backup dataset for that library type. During the backout the process tries to restore the previous version of the module, regardless of whether it exists in the backup or not. The file tailoring is using ISPF table &STGLTYP.CPYTB to create the list of components. This does not cause big issues for the copy step (IEBCOPY will simply print a warning message that the component does not exist in the dataset and continue). But if other postprocessing steps are involved, e.g. CICS NEWCOPY using CMNCICS1, then the process fails since it will try to NEWCOPY a component that no longer exists. The ISPF table &STGLTYP.CPYTB should be extended to include the information if the component to be processed is newly a
