Hello ChangeMan ZMF Community, It has been a longer process than we anticipated, but we now have the Ideas (Enhancements) portal available. This is a different portal than what we had under Micro Focus and Open Text and as such the former Ideas needed to be migrated from the prior portal to new portal that Rocket Software uses. Unfortunately, many of userids attached to the Ideas were not migrated. When possible, the original author's userid were appended to the description. Also, because the Ideas portal is different from the ChangeMan ZMF Community Forum it will require a new registration and it's a different link: Rocket Software Customer Ideas Portal We have been able to add a link from the ChangeMan ZMF Community Forum page on the right-hand panel (Ideas and Enhancements), which will bring you to the new Rocket Ideas Portal for ChangeMan ZMF. Our apologies to all our customers and users, as this has been a long process. We thank you for your patience as we worked through the proce

Hi, I have successfully connected to mainframe via ZOWE explorer /CLI. We are now in the process of connecting to changeman via ZMF explorer & CLI. -While I am getting no errors on the ZMF explorer, it still remains blank. -Is there a resource to download the ZMF CLI plugin as our system does not allow installation via CLI. We need a physical . Thanks, Alan ------------------------------Alan MartinData EngineerRocket Forum Shared Account------------------------------
Hello, Is there a way of downloading the vsix file for the ZMF-CLI pluginDue to network restriction I'm unable to use the command "npm install -g @rocketsoftware/zmf-cli-plugin" Thank you Johan------------------------------Johan JacobEuroclearBrussels BE------------------------------
Hello All I was wondering if it would be possible to add the requestorPhone to the panel CMNLIST0 as a criteria fieldThe reason is, via the global admin this field can be assigned another meaning (which we did, at our shop this has a value indicating the type of material in the package). As the field can be adjusted we were wondering if it would be possible to through the interface have this field available to narrow down a list of packages based on that field The XML service Package,Gen_prms,Search supports it so I hope the investment should not be that high ? :-) Thank you Best regards Johan------------------------------Johan JacobEuroclearBrussels BE------------------------------
Hello maybe someone can help, I have a changeman application that in the past has installed to a remote site but now the requirement is to only install on the same dev box that Changeman is running on. So i removed the remote site so nobody can add that site when creating a package and i added a local site with a dummy library defined so then it would only do the baseline process. However the 10 job fails(sortof there is no bad rc) with the following error message which causes the 11 job to fail. SYSIN: YON1000455 10 NOD=DUMMY PACKAGE NOT DISTRIBUTED AT ALL REMOTE SITES YON1000455 STATUS NOT CHANGED TO "DIS" YON1000455 SYSIN: YON1000455 05 NOD=PICM.CP000000.YON1.#000455K.X.DUMMY SYSIN: YON1000455 05 SUB=YON11155 has anybody encountered this ? when the package is created there is only one site in the package request. thanks. ------------------------------Steven NauHsbc Software Devel
We're testing GitZMF and it works in the right direction of adding "new protocols" to access mainframe sources. It's clear how to use it while developing from VSCode or similar. We would like also to use it when we've to orchestrate processes like source scanning, security scanning and so on. It would be great to use the git protocol instead of setting up FTP or custom scripts. At the moment of course we cannot use it because the "prerequisite" is creating a ChangeMan package on the mainframe and a gitZMF pull would work from the package. Can you think of developing something in the GitZMF for getting sources from the baseline maybe for a full application + type key? We know that there is a big gap between a non-mainframe project (where all the sources are "pulled" for working) and a mainframe project where we usually take a specific subset (the package) but still we would also need a way to "pull" the full application... Thank you ------------------------------Stefano AntoniazziBC

Hello We are currently running Git 2.14.4 on z/OS 3.1. We plan to migrate to the z17 hardware and would like to know if there are any required actions to take for this product, such as upgrading or applying any fixes to tolerate the z17s. Any assistance on this is greatly appreciated. Thank you Kind Regards, Mathew.
Hello Everyone! We found that in version 8.2 path 7, HLLX integration in the checkin, build, recompile, and relink functionalities does not communicate with XML in terms of consistency and variable content modification. When HLLX is called from the ISP or client pack panels, it returns an error message, but when called via XML, it does not return an error as expected. Could you please inform if there is an enhancement planned for this item?------------------------------Mari SekineBanco Bradesco S/ASão Paulo BR------------------------------

Hello all,On VSCODE/ ZMF Explorer, I'm trying to do the parametrization in order to be able to expand/see the INCLUDES and COPY's.For the one's that are on BASELINE I can see them because I've done the parametrization on the zapp.yaml file (the name do not change). But for those that are only inside the Package, VSCODE/ZMF Explorer is not able to find them. Can someone help me with the parametrization ?Thank you in advance,Joao------------------------------Joao CarvalhoSystems EngineerSILCA------------------------------

Job number pending.. b) compname jobname JOBnnnnn submitted Is there a way to get a message back that the job finished? Is anyone using the CM APIs? My specific question is: I can successfully call the component/build API to compile/build like-src components. What API do I call to stage non-source components (comparable to ST in the green screens) ?------------------------------Jim HaworthTechnology EngineerNationwide Mutual Insurance Company------------------------------
An engineer is trying to use the git connector with ChangeMan ZMF/ERO version 8.3.0. We are using the previous version of the ZMF zowe cli (2.0.4) because of bug in latest version. The engineer is able to clone the ChangeMan package, they edit source using git. They commit changes. No change is made in ChangeMan package. Engineer pushs the changes and no change is made in ChangeMan package.------------------------------Lisa BrewerSenior System Software EngineerThe Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance CompanyMilwaukee WI US------------------------------

Not sure if this is the right forum for this. We recently started using the Data Virtualization Driver v3.1 and are getting a stack overflow that crashes our application every 10 minutes or so in production. After some research I determined it's due to parameterized queries. The parameter info is being cached by the driver in the connection pool until it reaches some limit and crashes with a stack overflow error. If I turn off connection pooling, or hard-code the values into the query instead of properly parameterizing it, it stops crashing. But I'd rather not do those things if I can help it. I can easily recreate the error in our lower environments by loading up a query that parameterizes 200 parameters, and then setting it to run 100 times in sequence. Our production users aren't plugging in that many parameters, but are hitting the cache limit through sheer volume of queries instead. Are there any connection string settings or driver sett
Hello Community, Our customer is using GIT for his Softwarerepository on z/OS. We have changed from z/OS 2.5 to z/OS 3.1 last week and changed also the GIT Version from 2.26.2-78 to 2.41.0-4. Now we get a lot of RACF messages like follows and the result is not as expected: ICH408I USER(USSGIT ) GROUP(UITUVERF) NAME(USSGIT -TECHN. We tried to solve the problem by setting default file ACL for the directory, but GIT seems to ignore this! Any suggestions! Many Thanks in advance!------------------------------Jurgen Hildebra
