Hi
I am using Enterprise Studio server 6.0. It has two modes i.e. it can run in both ASCII and EBCDIC mode. By default it runs in ASCII mode, my query here is what kind of perfomance issue or any issue i can face if i run whole server , application in EBCDIC mode.

If yes, Please point

Thanks and Regards
Cheeta

I wouldn't think there would be any difference.

I agree with Bubba - if the whole system is running in ECBDIC that that's at a very low level in the run time and you shouldn't see any significant performance overhead (I've never heard of a customer reporting issues and we've had EBCDIC support for many years). Obviously, if you're doing a lot of ASCII/EBCDIC conversion on-the-fly there will be overhead but that's not a common scenario.
