Can any one  help, with  the  "RUNTIME COMPILER"   variables   needed for this command  ( I have the registration/licence  number )

Usage: RMUCUTIL xx-aaaa-sssss-nnnn {RUNTIME | COMPILER} [DETAILS]

or: RMUCUTIL OSTYPE [DETAILS]

All my best guesses, do not work. I can not find, a practical example on where to get the variables.

I am running on this  a Red hat 64 bit linux, that went  into production  last weekend. Has twice recorded  "Error invoking unauthorized copy of runtime.  AH01215: Use count exceeded (Loc 813) "  on apache processes

Cobol locks after recording  the error.   A  manual count of the Cobol processes in use (  ps  | grep runcobol | wc -l) ,  is well under  the licence count  purchased.

Hi,

Sample command:

rmucutil 8A-1000-13473-0001 RUNTIME DETAILS

You nee to replace the serial number by your runtime serial number. And you should run it in a PC that is not running runcobol.

Regards,

Thank you Juan . That works. Now to see if I can find out why it tells me the licnece count is exceeded, when it does not appear to be
Whenever I have seen the message before, the clients have used all thier licences. This site was moved to a new server, with new cobol runtime, last weekend. It has 50 licenses reported by runcobol (which is what they purchased) however seems to trigger the count exceeded message, around 35 active sessions.
Once again, thank you for the reply

Hello everyone,

I hope you're doing well. I have a question regarding the execution of a specific command in RM/COBOL.

  1. Where exactly should I run this command?
  2. Is it compatible with the latest version of RM/COBOL?

I appreciate any guidance or insights you can provide. Thank you!
