Hi All,
I am searching the alive monitoring on Uniface Anywhere host.
On the documents, there are explaining the method to monitor the processes and the sessions from Cluster Manager, but there is no methods to monitor APS itself heartbeat.
Does anyone know of alive monitoring method or solution for APS?
Kind regards,
Takafumi
Halo Takafumi,
to keep track of the Application Publishing Service health, you can use the Performance Monitor of the operating system. There you can find the counters of Uniface Anywhere Host, where you can add, Active Sessions, Client Connections, Host Connections and Maximum Sessions.
More information about this, you can find in chapter VI on page 90 from the Uniface Anywhere Administrator guide.
regards,
Nico

Hi Nico,
Thank you for your comment.
I read the section of Administrator Guide, but it seems that somebody must always be watching the monitor to detect APS down.
I would like to run the monitor usually on background, and I hope that it will raise the alert by e-mail when APS is down.
Could you tell me whether such solutions are there?
Kind regards,
Takafumi

Hi Takafumi,
if you want to monitor processes on your system with these kind of functionality, you may want to search the internet for it.
Uniface does not make any recommendations in these.

Hi Nico,
Thank you for reply.
I asked about this due to a connection failure even though the APS process was running.
If it is difficult to monitor with such situation, you can close it.
Kind regards,
Takafumi

P.S. a connection failure was already recovered.
