US State Code(s) in a value list:
AB ALBERTA
AK ALASKA
AL ALABAMA
AR ARKANSAS
AZ ARIZONA

Dropdown widget - multi times press A to get to AL
How to type AL and get there directly??

I believe that as long as the Sort Alphabetically property is true, this will work.
I remember testing this a few years ago and it worked. We don't use it because we need our list to be a specific order.

never worked this way, as far as I know
it does not even allow the autocomplete like other softwares

This definitely did used to work but it's some years since I tried it but you had to type fast!

Hi all,

I remember too this functionality working somehow during past ages in the same way as Toni as just mentioned: typing very very quickly it worked!
It could be there should be a sort of delay parameter somewhere...probably into a Uniface INI file... [upi] section has major chances to be my target.

I've checked back all Uniface .INIs files still in my hand looking for that "delay" parameter; I've looked into:
- my last INI saved from Uniface 6.5.11 installation
- my last INI Uniface 7.2.06 installation
- my last INI Uniface 8.4.06 installation
- my last Uniface 9.7.05 installation
Unfortunately I did NOT find any delay parameter into those INI files.

I hope ULabs could give us a practical solution to this request.

Ok ya'll,

Finally figured it out!
I retrieve the date from the db already sorted, thus I never set the
"Sort Alphabetically" option on the DropDown widget...

Once the flag has been set, hey presto - it works...
