I'm trying to duplicate a component.
So my first thought was to use the "repository"-worksheet, find the component and then use "Action" to duplicate.
Oops, I got a second repository.

So I do have some wishes for UnifAce 10

  1. Context sensitive actions on a selected item (without open the object first)
  2. Ask for the new name of the object.
Current you got an name with a number at the end, have to search for this and the rename it
  3. On inserting of objects (entity, fields, ...) into the define frame:
Ask for the new name or give them a name like "?entity_1"
  4. Double click of such objects should open the property editor
or in case of labeltext open an editor for then static text
  5. ...

The behavior implemented is slow and one needs to click some extra times to reach the goal

Hi Ingo,

Thanks for the feedback.

BTW, it seems that you are mixing up some things here. There is no "repository"-worksheet and I guess you are referring to the Project Worksheet. And in case you duplicate a Project then you just make a copy of the Project and the included links to development objects.

Anyways, the basic use case you are describing (e.g. duplicating an object from the Project Worksheet without opening it first) already has been recognized as a user story that is on the backlog. I'm not sure when this will (or could) be picked up (at the moment the IDE team is working on the filtering), but it's on the radar of the lab.

Hope this helps.
