Does everyone's IDE start page look like the following, or have I got something messed up in the ini files somewhere? The dates appear to be nonsensical/missing.

Regards,

Iain

Yeah v10.4.02 (38), just installed and upgraded from 10.3, which is why I wondered if I'd messed up.

I've logged a case for it, as it appears to be consistent across more than one setup.

Please, please, please...

Tell me how to TURN OFF this annoying and (imho) useless blabber
(as in, connecting to the rocket / uniface community page).

When I want to, I will go to the community page.  Please do not ram it down
my throat as if I'm being a force fed goose....

Regards,
Knut

Uniface support are telling me they can't reproduce it, and no-one else has reported a problem. Any chance you could log a case so that they do have more than one report?

Hi Iain,

I've just opened a new support case for this  (00938432). Maybe it helps.

I'm pretty neutral about the start page. It doesn't bother me, but doesn't give me any added value.

Or as Knut stated: "When I want to, I will go to the community page."

Good luck to you and best regards

Hello,

We have an additional inconvenience: our development server has no internet access for security reasons. So at start the IDE freeze until it understands he cannot load the page. Should be nice to be able to redirect this url to a blank page.

Workaround leave IDE with another page active like a component. Next start you will be positioned on this page and not the start page.

We have tied it down to some kind of overlay from our compiled code.

If we set our compiled uar above the ide.uar in the asn file, the dates are wrong. If we put our compiled uar below the ide.uar in the asn file the dates are right, but trying to compile any component complains that "Compiling a component without entities is not allowed".

So I've stuck with bad dates for the moment. (I may try reimporting the meta files and checking after the next full compile. I believe I have remiported the meta files after upgrading. I may be wrong).

In our environment the compiled uar is below the the ide.uar ... and it doesn''t work either.

But if I comment out the path of the compiled uar in the [RESSOURCES] section the date values are shown correct.

Very strange...

Hi All,

we have found that under certain conditions, the web page (ide start page) shows incorrect dates. This will be addressed in a next release.

Also, the webpage (start page) of the IDE is holding up the start up until it has found the web page or has received time-out. This will be addressed also in a next release of Uniface 10.4.
