Is implicit transactions used within Uniface 10?
We have performance issues and our DBA finds implicit transactions even for a select statement. But I can't find anything in de source about using implicit transactions. Is there a way of turn if off?
Database is SQL Server 2016 and we use ODBC SQL Server driver for the connection.

Do you experience this behavior only in Uniface 10? I did some digging in our knowledge base and it seems that one of my colleagues has raised this on the SQL Server Forum (some time ago):

• In manual commit mode, SQLEndTran() starts a new transaction

The behavior seems to be caused by the Microsoft ODBC driver, if I understand it correctly.

Are you, however, sure that the performance issues you are experiencing are actually caused by these implicit transactions? From what I can see this will not be different in Uniface 9.
