Issue with Uniface 10 Patch 10.03.02.045

Hello everybody,

after installing the latest Uniface 10 Patch 10.03.02.045 we are getting this error at starting the ide.

If I ignore the Error-Message...

Klicking the Hamburger-Menu results in a busy indicator for about 30 seconds and then this message occurs:

After deleting the ide_state.zip the behaviour is the same.

Does anybody have the same issue?

Hello Michael,

It somehow looks like that the installation of the patch was unsuccessful. I would suggest to try and reapply patch 045 again. And if that does not help then it's probably best to reinstall Uniface 10.3 from scratch. Sorry.

thank you very much for your reply. I've found the problem now. After the recommended reinstallation of Uniface 10.3 from scratch it workes.

But.. We got a prototype for Informix LoadDefinitions from Peter Beugel. And after reinstalling this prototype I figured out that this causes the described error.

Daniel: Can you talk to Peter about it?

BTW: Norbert says that the images are not visible to him. I can see them in my original post. Is it "his" problem or did I something wrong?

But.. We got a prototype for Informix LoadDefinitions from Peter Beugel. And after reinstalling this prototype I figured out that this causes the described error.

Daniel: Can you talk to Peter about it?

BTW: Norbert says that the images are not visible to him. I can see them in my original post. Is it "his" problem or did I something wrong?

Now I'm also not able to see my own uploaded images anymore.

During editing this post I can see the images. Later they are "gone".

It's good to hear that you've found the problem and got the patch 045 working now.

It, however, is never a good idea to install a regular patch when using a test-patch that was provided by the lab. Test patches are based on a specific patch-level and should only be used in that combination. In addition, a test patch is only intended to test a specific fix or piece of functionality (like, in your case, the Load Definitions functionality for Informix) and is not supported in any other scenario. It therefore should not be used in any other context and especially not in a production environment (like your standard development environment). This disclaimer is usually given to customers when they receive a test-patch.

I hope this clarifies this matter.

Hi there,

I do NOT see those linked images too, either disconnected or connected to Community.
Clicking on the second one I am redirected to this link:

which is empty!

On the other end only when connected I see user thumbnails on the "all questions" page in the column on the right.

Still some tuning work to do... 🙂

full acknowledge. Sure, I didn't notice that this single and particular "uar" of which this "patch" only consists is still in my environment and that it could cause an error. After I figued out that the load definitions prototype causes this error it was my only intention to give Peter a hint that there's a conflict with 10.03.02.045 and the Informix load definitions (prototype). I'm aware he's still working on it (he asked me to test it) and I'm also aware that there's no support for the load definitions as long as it's a prototype. For that reason the prototype is also not in any production environment.

Anyway... Now it is clarified...
