$CUROCC_VIDEO appears to not work all of the time on some fields in some cases... Is this a known issue.

Also,  curoccvideo "*","DEF" had the same effect

An example case is if its a dropdown and backcolor has been set.... It is consistent for specific fields in specific positions

I also have an editbox for the first occurence for the first time it is the current occurence.... The 2nd time it becomes the current occurence it works.

Hi Osman,

I am in trouble to understand what you are trying to achieve here and you should probably also define which Uniface version you are using.

$DEF_CUROCC_VIDEO and $CUROCC_VIDEO are assignments to be used into an assignment file.
    while
$curoccvideo and curoccvideo are Proc Script instructions to be used in your code.

All of these aim to define how to color current occurrence for entities on the screen.

I never was able to use assignment files definitions because their perimeter is at application level and it is usually a too large scope but I have normally in use istructions at code level.

Looking forward to your answer.

Regards,
Gianni

Hello Gianni,

The uniface version is 10.4.01

The idea is to highlight all the fields in the current occurence.

curoccvideo  and $CUROCC_VIDEO seem to work exactly the same so I guess they execute the same code.

The anomalies I have found are these :-

if a dropdown has its backcolor set either via code(in ogf) or via the field definition (in define frames), the highlighting is ignored

if an editbox has its backcolor set via code(in ogf) then the highlighting does not work the first time it is the current occurance but it does work the 2nd time.

Hi Osman,

AFAIK:

  • dropdown color definition was always overwritten from curoccvideo when defined as field definition in define frames...while it should work when defined via code in OGF.
  • editbox should work when set via code in OGF.

Could it be you are still using the Character User Interface?
