! MS Update KB3057839 and Uniface Anywhere compatibility June 2015

Windows Update KB3057839 was released on June 9, 2015, and is incompatible with Uniface Anywhere \\ JTi : Version 4.8.1.20832 and below on Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2 Version 4.8.2.21235 and below on Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2 When Uniface Anywhere \\ JTi host is installed on a computer that already has this update installed, the Application Publishing Service fails to start. When KB3057839 is installed on a computer that already has Uniface Anywhere \\ JTi Host installed, the Application Publishing Service will run, but other problems may occur. Uniface is working on a fix for this incompatibility In the meantime, KB3057839 should not be installed on Uniface Anywhere\\JTi hosts. If it is installed, you can work around the incompatibility by uninstalling KB3057839. The Uniface Anywhere support team.

A fix for this issue for Uniface JTi \\ Uniface Anywhere Host on Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2, is provided in the release build 4.8.2.21321 of Uniface Anywhere (V4x64UAHost-B21321.exe) that is available for download from the following location: https://download.uniface.com/downloads/UnifaceAnywhere/v4/ A fix (V4x64UAHost-KB3057839-C01.exe) for this incompatibility on Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 is available for download from the following location: https://download.uniface.com/downloads/UnifaceAnywhere/v4/kb3057839 Please take note of the readme file (V4x64UAHost-KB3057839-C01.txt) available in the download directory.
