I have recently re-checked the help for building a mobile app, having worked with Uniface to prototype one using buildozer.
As far as I can see, the instructions now say "Use your preferred hybrid framework to package the mobile app" (See here).
Okay, I don't have a preferred hybrid framework, because I am a Uniface programmer. Would anyone (or Uniface) recommend a framework I could prefer, please?
I develop on MS Server systems, so something with a windows IDE would be preferred.
I know @Jason Huggins demoed something where one 'simply' fed in the relevant cordova bits from a command line, in the last presentation I watched, but I didn't catch what one fed them into, and was expecting a recommendation/suggestion in the documentation.
Regards,
Iain

So, I've spent all day trying to get a cordova setup as per the first line in the linked file. I follow the next steps to get the 'simple' version working, and the cordova run android (having complained about Android SDKS and Java SDKS and Gradle, now complains that "No installed build tools found. Please install the Android build tools version 30.0.3.", I have apparently got build tools of a later version, and am now lost in a maze of which applications need configuring where. Can anyone help with a step by step setup guide for the necessary cordova stuff please?
Assume I know nothing about any of this, and you won't go far wrong.

Iain

It appears you are very close. Which version of the build tools do you have installed? I naturally don't know the versions of your whole stack however I have seen the following re. 30.0.3 at https://github.com/apache/cordova-android/issues/1335
This suggests later version i.e. 31.x could yield the message you see.
Regards,
Jason.

It installed developer tools 33.0.0. I have researched and found the (slightly) hidden option in the android studio settings which allows you to install older versions of the tools, and installed the 30.0.3 toolset, and the build now (mostly) completes, but complains that sh is not an internal or external command.
Looking at this one, it appears that two solutions are cygwin and git, neither of which I have installed yet. We don't currently use git, so I think installing it will be overkill, and I'm going to try cygwin.

And having progressed past the sh error by installing cygwin, I now get the below error. I think I remember getting a similar error in android studio when I tried to run the apk I managed to generate on Friday (after I got the shell error, I tried to run the emulator from A.S.).

So, I think this may be down to the remote server I have android studio installed on not having the correct cpu powers, I've installed it on my local PC and the emulator now runs the app....

TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'toast')
I also get this error trying to ressurrect the code we used in our example barcode reader. The DSP(s) all run okay but the hyperlink which should put the 'hello world' message just gives this.
When debugging, should I be able to see any evidence of the plugins in the sources section?
