Hi Freaks

One of our customers got a strange performance issue
The Microsoft SQL-Server is hosted in a virtuell windows environment.
Now the customer move the virtuell machine from one hardware to another (much better) one
All other application are runnig equal or faster then before.
But our application written with UnifAce loss performance (around 50%)
The customer creates a virtuell client on the new hardware an starts the application there:
Also less performance, so the network should not the problem.
Then we tried other clients (virtuell or normal)
Sometime the performnace is like the old one, sometime drops by 50%

Any idea what's going wrong ?

Are the indexes on the database managed? (fragmentation)

As the whole wituell server moved, there was no change in database.

But maybe we got a solution.
It could be a problem with one network card.
This is strange, as a virtuell client on the same hardware does have the performance issue.
But if the change of this network card helps ... 🙂
[have to wait until the confirmation of all parties involved into it]
