Context sensitive help (F1) does not work for function $random.

Environment:

+ Uniface version: 10.4
+ Platforms: WIN
+ Database: ALL

UNI-40152  -  The result of $length for data type raw has changed unexpectedly

Solution available in patch(es):      10.4.03-011

Description:

The function $length returns a different result for data type raw since Uniface version 10.4.02.037.

Before it returned the (internal trx) string length, now returns the raw data byte length. This is unexpected: the $length behavior before patch 10.4.02.037 is considered the correct behavior.

Environment:

+Uniface Version : 10.4.02.037 and higher
+Operating System: OS independent
+Database: DBMS independent

Workaround:

None.

Notes:

This problem is fixed.

Note: For Raw data function $length returns the length in characters again. Should you wish to have the byte length returned you can use assignment setting $LENGTH_RAW_IN_BYTES. For more info check out our documentation.
