After installing the latest patch (044) another startpage will be shown in the IDE. The IDE shows an uHTTP status 2. It takes also some time to continue. We believe that it is due to a time-out for the connection to update the startpage. We are running Uniface 10 on a server which not allows to connect to the internet.
Is it possible to skip this checking?

Hi Richard
Do I understand correctly that after some time it just accepts that it cannot connect, or are you in some locked situation that you cannot do anything anymore?
Not sure how you guys work, using a shared IDE, and whether every individual has its own statefile (in the working folder, there is file called ide_state.zip), but what you could try is to simply close the Start Page. This will be remember in the state file and on a next startup, it will not try to connect to the internet.
Hope this helps,
Gerton

For a customer of us, we have upgraded Uniface to U10. We separated the developer environments, so every developer has it own development space and working directory.
We saw the message appear after installing the 044 patch and running the IDE. It seems that the IDE after some time it just accepts that it cannot connect. It was not a locking situation, because just one instance of the IDE was running.
We will try the suggestion to close the Start Page.

Richard,
we are looking at how to improve the context-sensitive help for the Uniface 10 IDE. Based on your description, where you state your server does not have any internet connection, I am wondering what that means. Do non of your developers have access to the internet, so they are not able to lookup anything, or is it just the IDE that does not have an internet connect. Are you willing to elaborate a bit more on how your development team is setup, so we can learn from the use case. Tnx.
As part of this project, we will probably move away from CHM (ulibrary.chm) and completely move to a plain HTML help system. By default, the IDE will use online help, but it would be good for us to know that we also need to consider a downloadable set of the plain HTML help system, so the help can be used without an internet connection. Any input is appreciated.
