WE have just upgraded to Uniface 10.4.02.052 and when we display forms with data which has underscores in them in editboxes we cannot see the underscores when displaying data. These same screens displayed correctly in uniface 10.3. When you zoom into these editboxes you can see the underscores. On the same screen i have a unifield painted and it displays underscores correctly.

It seems related to CellHeight which needs to be set to 110 in your ini file. For example:
[application]
Window=uwindow(backcolor=white;cellheight=110;linespace=0)
What is in your ini file?

I'm experiencing the same issue in version 10.4.02.32. I didn't notice this before Marcus' posting, probably because no customers have complained about it (yet).

The cellheight is set to 110 in my \\uniface\\adm\\usys.ini file i.e. window=uwindow(backcolor=white;cellheight=110;linespace=0)
In \\uniface\\common\\usys.ini and \\uniface\\adm\\unifaceadm_usys.ini i have it commented out
i.e. ;window=uwindow(backcolor=white)

Thanks Yijun
On your advice i made the following changes to my ini file
under [application]
add the line
window=uwindow(cellheight=110;linespace=0)
under the [upi] section
comment out linespace=1
and change the cellheight=110
These changes fixed the issue with the underscores not appearing in my edit boxes.

Hi Marcus,
For some background reading, a blog post from a while ago discussed these settings and how they will help the overall look of Windows applications. Although it has a very beneficial effect on Windows 11 due to its updated theme, it is also recommended for everyone with a Windows installation of Uniface later than 10.4.01.011/10.3.03.011. Uniface support for Windows 11
Kind regards,
Mike
