Uniface 10.1.02 is available now
Author: henk.van.der.veer@uniface.com (Henk van der Veer)
I'm happy to inform you that we released an update to the Uniface 10 Web Edition today (internally named 10.1.02). As mentioned in a post by Adrian a few days ago, this is mostly a maintenance release that resolves technical issues related to usability, stability and performance. In particular using the Uniface 10 IDE in a shared repository environment is possible starting with this release. Please read the Release Notes and the updated user documentation to get an understanding of how transactions in the IDE are protected against simultaneous changes by other users who share the same repository. Please note that this typically relates to users using MS SQL Server or Oracle as dbms of choice for hte repository. The default database installed with the IDE, SQLite, is perfect for the preferred Sandbox Development method but is not fit for multi user access. The new distribution includes a new license that is valid till early November. For your convenience, the following overview lists the issues addressed in this update: CR31370: cpt:Adding a combination of super and subtype entities to a component data structure results in exception CR31389: Assigning an empty value to an object name may result in an exception CR31427: aps: Cannot compile an Application Startup Shell CR31431: Performance of context menus on Windows 2008 R2 is extremely slow CR31436: Confusing readme within distribution CR31439: prj - Second attempt to rename an Entity reference using an invalid name causes Exception CR31454: Locking mechanism to enable working in a shared repository is unstable CR31480: Exception thrown when opening Source Editor's context menu
