Signature name limit 16 chars in U9 - can I ignore it?

Author: dammie@seznam.cz (dammie)

Hello,

if I am creating signaturre for stored proc I ve got message : Signature name exceeds 16 characters. Cannot create Uniface implementation for signature names exceeding this limit.

If I click OK signature is created and also works O.K.... So, can I ignore this message?

Hello David,

Yes, you can ignore that message - it's just a warning. Uniface just wants to tell you that you cannot use this signature for a Uniface component, since the maximum length of such an object is 16. For a Stored Procedure Component this is of course no problem since the name of such a component can be up to 32 bytes.

I hope the provided information is helpful.

With kind regards,
Daniel
