Uniface 9.3/4 and Windows 2011

Author: i.sharp@pcisystems.co.uk (Iain Sharp)

We are being told by our hardware supplier that they are no longer selling Windows server 2008, and are wondering if anyone has tried running Uniface 9.X on Windows Server 2011 yet?

It's not mentioned in the P.A.M.

Regards,

Iain

Hi Iain,

I assume you're refering to the Windows Small Business Server 2011, correct? As you can see in the Microsoft TechNet Library topic "What's New in Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard":

"Windows SBS 2011 Standard is built on Windows Server® 2008 R2 Standard"

And as you can see in the PAM for version 9.3 and 9.4 the Windows Server 2008 R2 is supported by both Uniface releases.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,
Daniel
