Uniface wont start on win7. The error is:
The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect...
what is the solusion? it is something to do with the registry, but I not sure what need to be changed. Doron.
Doron, Welcome to the Uniface.info forum. Which Uniface version are you using exactly? Since version 9.4 Uniface needs (at least) the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package. Here's the download for the 32-bit version. The required installer is also part of the Uniface 9.4 (and higher) edist (see \\uniface_setup\\vcredist\\vcredist_x86.exe). Once the mentioned Redistributable Package has been installed correctly Uniface should work correctly. Please note that the lab is currently busy upgrading Uniface to Visual C++ 2015. The updated C++ version will be introduced with Uniface 9.7.05/10.3.01 which should become available in the first weeks of August. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Daniel Iseli Uniface Technical Support
