Addition entries in Quick Navigation in Component Editor

While i am an experienced user, this seems like a First Time User question...

How do I increase the number of entries stored in Quick Navigation dropdown/combobox on the Component Editor window?

I have two different environments (Dev and Test) and the Dev version only shows the last two objects entered in the combobox for quick navigation.  The Test environment displays several entries.  I unable to identify what makes the environments different and i cannot find any documentation that describes how to change the setting.

longer time ago, we run some investigation on it and lit seems to depend how bringa new component to the editor:

OPEN will add to the history list, while enter a name and TAB out will show only the last 2.
