Only by creating a view in the database

Uniface will create tables which don't exist when it needs them, so I'd suggest there was a failure storing the salesorder table, meaning it never got to trying the order item table. 

You can 'manually' create tables in the system using /genSql as a command line option (see documentation). 
Or you can download and configure the additional utilities from Here, which will allow you to access script creation from the 'hamburger' menu on the IDE. You can then create SQL scripts to run in the database manager which will make the necessary table up front.
