How Uniface is building select clause. In one form, I can see few fields in select clause. In some other form, select clause has different fields though where clause is same in both form.

Is there anyone who already migrated a desktop application from Uniface 9 to Uniface 10.3? Is it a smooth process? Is it comparable to previous migrations (U8 → U9 or even U7 → U8)? Is it easier or the same or worse?

Hi, we use Sql-Server as database, which use bit-type for boolean. We would like to use a tri-state Check-box. Unfortunately we have started to use $STORE_BOOLEANS_AS_FALSE in ASN-file, which stores null as 0 (false) for boolean-fields.My tri-state Checkbox works as I remove $STORE_BOOLEANS_AS_FALSE, ie. Checkbox On - 1 in databaseCheckbox Off - 0 in databaseCheckbox undetermined - null in database. Hi Unifacers,is there any technical reason because the "OLE Container" widget does NOT include scrollbars?If the OLE object included must be readonly and it is longer than Y dimension of field hosting it there is NO possibility to move/navigate into it; the same is applying if the object is larger on X dimension.I've tried to overcome the described limitation including the object field in a contained form to have scrollbars from the container field and it works but due to current Uniface limitation about field size picted on a form (x column * y rows = max 16k) a maximum of two pages of the contained object can be shown. So, following on from the passing complex data using structs not XML I then discover that there appears to be a behavioural change from when I tried this before (some 10 years ago), either based on the original data being struct, or in the retrieve/reconnect. I have an order/items relationship painted. In the order entity are non-database fields to display the total value of the order (amongst others). This field is passed from the service as null (the field exists in the model, or it wouldn't exist in the component subtypes). If I total this field from the value(s) in the items entity in the postloadoccurrence trigger of the items entity, it is wiped down to null again before the post-load-occurrence trigger of the order is fired. Whilst I can total it in the pre-save-occurrence trigger of the items entity in the service, because this is fired after the pre-save-occurrence trigger of the order, you can't do further maths or comparisons on these totals. It appe

Or DSP - Service (assuming you are using the DSP component subtypes which have no database update functions). So, many many years ago we built our client/server app using uniface lists (and lists of lists, all the way down) to pass the data from the server to the client.  I have tried in the past to switch this to XML transfers with limited success, and am re-trying again to refactor our C/S transfers.I'd like to be able to do without DTDs as these are (from my perspective) just another thing which will prevent the transfer of all the data from client to server unless the programmer is very very careful when adding new fields to an entity that they have found all the DTDs using that entity and included them. When you don't then any existing data is WIPED from the database when being re-saved (may only be true of down entities).  So the DTD is a dangerous hole in the development. Hi Unifacers,Uniface C/S environment.The Rich Edit Box available in Uniface is NOT supporting images. I googled a bit and it seems the original Window Control it is supporting them. Is there a way to force the Uniface Rich Edit Box to accept images when an RTF file is directly loaded into it with ^INS_FILE keyboard command or is pasted from another document?...NO, I do NOT need to print that RTF field ( at least for time being!).As an alternative: I've looked also to include Wordpad as an OCX control but with no luck.HTML widget cannot be an alternative here...Any tips, trick, hint or similar experiences?
