Hello, For Uniface 10.3.2.: Which Java version do you need (at least)? Does it only work with Tomcat 9 at most, or also with Tomcat 10.1? For Uniface 10.4: Which Java version do you need (at least)? Does it work with Tomcat 10.1? If so, is wrd.jar from Uniface 10.4 compatible with the Uniface 10.3 urouter? (The documentation claims that an application web server for Servlet 6.0 (i.e. Tomcat 10.1, for example) should work. Hi Unifacers, I have Uniface community edition installed on my PC in a Virtual Machine. After an upgrade of VM software layer last october Uniface stopped to work, claiming license NOT available on this machine. After reading the FAQ I have:- Returned the license- Re-activated license again using my same UUID Now the license is recognized again and the IDE is correctly starting, but unfortunately is not upgrading anymore. On the same machine I was able to upgrade from U10.4.03.001 (the one installed for Uniface User Group in A'dam last october) to U10.4.03.002 using the standard procedure: starting the installation it recognized it was already installed and upgrade the installation available. Doing now the same action with U10.4.03.006 is claiming:Setup cannot install in the selected folder because it is not empty, it appears to already contain an installation of a different product or edition. I want to use the Excel COM object in Uniface for creating Excel files.   First I try to import the signatures with "/sti /mwr=com /pid Excel.Application:EXCEL_"   But I get a lot of messages like this one: "Error: Signature EXCEL_APPLICATION: Total implemented parameter count (=566) does not match total (=567) in generic signature."   The explanation for this message in the Uniface documentation is: " One or more operations contain a different number of parameters in different implementations. Check all parameters in all implementation definitions."   Now I need an explanation for this explanation. What is a generic signature, what are different implementations in this context? Hi, I am putting on endusers' shoes for time being... ;-) A standard Uniface multi row entity (not GRID!) enable to navigate through occurrences positioning mouse over scroll bar and using mouse wheel. My actual Microsoft Excel installation enable to move through its rows positioning mouse over scroll bar and using mouse wheel. Is it possible in a Uniface GRID entity to have same navigation behaviour? I've tried in my current U97 project (still! sigh...) but I was not able to have it working... didn't try yet in U104... was it improved? I read a post from 2018 that listed Gold key alternatives to the + key on the numeric keypad for laptops that don't have a numeric keypad. We are a Windows shop and use a slightly modified version of the MSWINX keyboard table in the USYS library. A suggested alternative was ctrl+shift+F1 which is coded as ^131^101 ^GOLD in the keyboard table. However, this does not work; it pops up a Windows "Search for apps, settings, and documents" window. Another suggestion was ctrl+shift+G (coded as ^131G ^GOLD in the table). This works in the runtime environment but not in the IDE. Looking for solutions to this issue. WE have just upgraded to Uniface 10.4.02.052 and when we display forms with data which has underscores in them in editboxes we cannot see the underscores when displaying data. These same screens displayed correctly in uniface 10.3. When you zoom into these editboxes you can see the underscores. Im wondering how it is possible to have the text of an error or informational message using the 'message' keyword or 'askmess' keyword be controlled by variables and not literal text.  We have a need where the contents of the message could change based on location of a file, for instance.  Consider the following example of what I would like to be able to do.  We would use the message in s_log_text to both display a message on the screen to the user, as well as write the text to a log file. s_log_text = "File '%%s_filename%%%' saved successfully."message/info s_log_textactivate "sl_logfile".o_write(s_log_text, s_log_filename) Right now, if I were to execute this, the message box appears blank.  The only way I can seem to get this to work so far is to type out the text literally between double quotes, duplicating what is in s_log_text, with possible inconsistencies.  Is it possible to do what I want above?------------------------------Tim ColvinSmyth Retail Systems Inc.Alliance OH US---

We have an issue where the column sizes of grids don't store in the registry.  The keep layout is set to default, and the storage is set to component. The grid layout is set ON. I have recently found an updated .ini setting in LAYOUT SaveContainedForm and I have set that to on.  We do have some fields painted which are for data storage, rather than display, so they are set to hidden and then the whole column is hidden using $columnsyntax as part of the initialisation routine. I seem to recall something about this preventing column sizes of the other fields being stored. Is that still the case?  We did have a home grown function in 'column_resized' and 'viewport_resized' to store the layout in a separate registry key if the columns were hidden (using the 'VISIBLE' grid property), but we were informed it was likely the cause of crashes, so it's been edited out. So, is there a good method of getting the system to store the column sizes of the visible columns of a grid widget where (for UI

We have been live since the 23rd July and have seen a huge increase in the number of Uniface sessions which are hanging/crashing on the Windows servers.Server SpecWindows 20198CPU, 20Gb RamOracle Client 19c 32BitUniface 10.3.2.4Application distributed via CitrixDB Repository is Oracle 19c on Solaris 11User sessions run 'ok' but many people see session freezes and some see crashes. On the servers we are seeing MiniDump files being created for some users. Hello, We have several clients who run Uniface 9 on Uniface Anywhere without any issues. All of the working environments are using either Windows Server 2012 R2 or 2016. However, a new client of ours has requested that we run it on Windows Server 2019. When running the Uniface application on the server, it works fine. But when using Uniface Anywhere, the GOLD KEY does not function properly. We have set the $SWAP_GOLD_PROFILE in the ASN file. Here are the issues we are encountering: Typing "*" (Shift + 8) results in only "*" being displayed. Typing "*" (from the numeric keypad) results in "GOLD*" (which is the only correct behavior). Typing ">" (Shift + .) results in only ">" being displayed. Typing "=" results in "=" only. This happens even when using the same ASN file both locally and in the Uniface Anywhere application. Hello, we use a list as an input parameter (type string) to call a function in Postgre via SSP. While testing I found out that the list has a length limit of 254 characters. If I call the function direct in pgAdmin much longer strings can used as parameter. Is this this a known limitation? Is there a setting to raise this limit? TiA!
