DLM9 and U9.3.02: would it solve a problem I've had with a changed Host ID?Author: nelleke.rietvink@capgemini.com (mcbash) I am still using U9.3.02 and DLM4.5 and everything is running on my own laptop. This week the license gave errors that it was no longer valid and I discovered that my Host ID had changed. The cause of the changed Host ID possibly was that my laptop had been connected to a client network/wifi. I was given a new licensefile based on the new Host ID, but they did mention that I should maybe switch to a newer version of DLM.   So my questions: Are DLM9 and U9.3.02 compatible? Will switching to DLM9 resolve the problem of the Host ID changing and requiring a new license?   Thanks&Regards, Nelleke

Uniface Anywhere and Windows Server 2016Author: jraymond@empowersis.com (jraymond) Looks like the path variable is set by Uniface Anywhere on Windows server 2016. This means that any custom paths set on the system is over written. I tried to set it by a login script as well and it was not used there or was over written. Opening a command prompt and setting the path to what i want worked for that command prompt but did not help any other applications i attempted to open through Uniface Anywhere. This prevents Uniface Application that use Oracle from working as the dll is not found. Is there a solution in the works? Is there a work around?

Uniface Anywhere Client is not optimized for your MacAuthor: nico.peereboom@uniface.com (Nico Peereboom) 32-bit app compatibility with macOS High Sierra 10.13.4   Starting with macOS High Sierra 10.13.4, apps that have not been updated to use 64-bit processes produce a one-time alert when opened.  The current released version 5.0.2 of the Uniface Anywhere Client for macOS X is producing the following message when started on macOS High Sierra 10.13.4: "Uniface Anywhere Client" is not optimized for your Mac." This message gives users advance notice that they are running 32-bit software, which will not be compatible with macOS in the future. The Uniface Anywhere Client can still be used on this version without any adverse effects on your data or your computer.   Uniface will release a fully 64-bit macOS X client with Uniface Anywhere version 6.0.   More information on this transition by Apple can be found at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208436&nbs

Anywhere and calendar widgetAuthor: roger.wallin@abilita.fi (rogerw) Hi, we use Anywhere 5.0.2.23384 on Windows Server 2012 R2. We have problem with the Calendar widget, which is too wide, and you can't even see the data at the right as there is no scrollbar. There is no problem with the calendar on the same server as you start the application on the server, outside Uniface Anywhere. On another server using Anywhere 5.0.0.23082 on Windows Server 2012 R2, there is no problem with the calendar. Any help or confirmation appreciated! Regards RogerW.

Lost keyboard in AnywhereAuthor: roger.wallin@abilita.fi (rogerw) Hi, I've got some information that sometimes the keyboard suddenly stops working for Anywhere users. But in this specific case the user keyboard doesn't work as she is logging on to the Anywhere server and then starting Uniface. In the Uniface application the keyboard doesn't work. Stopping the Uniface application and starting it again, gets the keyboard working. Today I have no more info about this, but I'm throwing a question to hear whether somebody has an idea about it? The user is in the same "user-group" as other users, the other users not having the same problem. Regards RogerW.

Prompting for Password changeAuthor: tomas.hogvag@abilita.fi (thogvag) Hi, In AD we have selected the for the users "Users must change password at next logon" When trying to log in via the Anywhere client with the user, there is an error message: "The user's password must be changed before logging in the first time". But there is no option to change the password (as stated in the administration manual page 56.) It seems to be same case with local users. Can we get this to work? We have the host on win2012r2 and a separate AD server. We have enabled Apply group policy in the cluster manager. best regards Tomas
