ChangeMan 8.3.0 Compatibility with z/OS 3.2 – Guidance Required

Hi,

We are currently running ChangeMan version 8.3.0 and are planning to upgrade our z/OS environment from version 2.5 to version 3.2.

Could you please confirm whether ChangeMan V8.3.0 is compatible with z/OS 3.2?

Additionally, if anyone has experience running ChangeMan V8.3.0 on z/OS 3.2, I would appreciate your guidance. Specifically, it would be helpful to understand any challenges encountered following the z/OS 3.2 upgrade and to know if any patches or updates are required for ChangeMan V8.3.0.

Hi Karthick,

I am sure you already know, but general ChangeMan ZMF-z/OS 3.2 compatibility information can be found on the following article (users will need to be logged into the RCC website to access this link):

So, yes, we highly recommend moving to the latest GA version of ZMF (8.3 Patch 2 at time of writing) before upgrading to z/OS 3.2 if you are not already running a minimum of ZMF 8.3 Patch 1.

It is also worth noting that customers running outside of supported configurations may be asked to reproduce any issues they encounter in a fully supported configuration before assistance can be provided by the ChangeMan ZMF Product Team. 

However, if any customers do wish to share their experience of running ChangeMan ZMF 8.3(.0) GA on z/OS 3.2 then they are welcome to do so here.
