What happened to The Forum after the upgrade? We used to get an e-mail when somebody posted to a forum that we were registered on. Since the upgrade, nothing, nada, nil, zilch. So do we have to logon to see if there is interesting happening?

Hi Alex,

Thanks for reaching out. After the recent update, we ask users to re‑subscribe to the product forums they want to follow, as previous subscriptions did not carry over. Once you subscribe again, you’ll receive notifications for all new activity in those forums.

  • You can find instructions on subscribing and managing your notification settings here.
  • The full list of available product forums is available here.

Please note that daily and weekly digest emails are no longer supported.

Let me know if there's anything else you need!

From my point of view, this was not an upgrade. With the original forum, I felt like we had finally bucked the MV forum trend. For the first time since I started working with MV I felt that we were building an on-line community where we were actually connecting, engaging and helping one another.  All of that went away with the new forum. This forum downgrade didn’t include a transition, but instead required individual users ad hoc their own migration. On top of that, the digest option was eliminated. So at first, you’re asking “where are my forums?”  Then once you figure out that you need to redo all of your setup work you’re asking “why can’t I check in using my preferred method?” Finally, once you have it as set up as it can be, you notice that your forums are not as active and not as useful as they used to be. That’s my 2 cents.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I appreciate your perspective!

I understand that this transition has affected folks in different ways, and changes like these can certainly disrupt established workflows. We did our best to communicate both before and after the update, but I recognize that the shift, especially with re‑subscribing to forums and the removal of digest emails, has created extra steps for many community members.

As we move through 2026, we’re actively gathering input like yours and continually reviewing the platform to make it more user‑friendly, intuitive, and valuable for everyone. All change takes some adjusting to, and your insights help us understand where improvements are needed most.

To help keep the community active and vibrant, I’d encourage you to continue sharing your MV insights, experiences, and questions in the dedicated product forums. Your contributions genuinely make a difference and help others learn.

Thank you again for your feedback and for being an engaged member of the community!
