I would expect that there's an install program similar to APT-GET used by Debian. 

Try the command :  man apt            and see if you get a man page.

If this doesn't help, then do web searches and read through the documentation you have on the OS.

As you are running on proprietry IBM hardware and OS, you may find that the information on how install other programs could be difficult to locate.
