Hi all,

I'm currently using my laptop (Windows 11, and occasionally Linux Mint via dual boot) for some light Rocket terminal emulation work, mainly accessing UniVerse environments. While everything generally works, I've noticed some inconsistencies in performance and a few UI glitches in the terminal, especially during longer sessions or when switching between networks.

I'm wondering:

  • Is there an optimized setup or configuration for terminal emulation on Windows or Linux laptops?

  • Any recommended terminal emulators or tools that work particularly well with Rocket environments?

  • Are there specific settings (buffer size, fonts, encoding, etc.) that improve the experience?

  • Does anyone here prefer Linux over Windows for this kind of work - and why?

I'd really appreciate any tips or best practices from others using laptops for Rocket terminal emulation, especially for development or light production monitoring.

Thanks in advance for any advice!
