Rocket Process Insights v10.3.1 takes one step ahead and introduces data driven, targeted process discovery on IBM i and IBM zSystems applications which will help businesses to identify and automate exception scenarios in their processes.

Rocket API v10.3.1 brings enhanced security upgrades and improved configurations. These upgrades contribute to a more secure and reliable API development environment.

Rocket Modern Experience v10.3.1 delivers improvements for creating aesthetically enhanced and more accessible web applications along with the all new troubleshooting experience within the MX and Automation Hub.

General Enhancements

Installation

  • In order to enhance troubleshooting, debugging, and audit/compliance experiences, the setup wizard now provides easy access to installation and uninstallation logs for all products.

 Plugin upgrade

  • The Eclipse plugin for Rocket DevOps in the MX and Automation Workbench has been updated to version 8.2.800

Rocket Process Insights

Explorer functionality (Data driven process discovery)

  • The newly introduced Explorer functionality, available for both IBM i and IBM zSystems, provides valuable insights into specific applications. It allows users to identify the optimal path, steps through the green screens, for resolving errors or exceptions in a business process.
  • By leveraging these insights, organizations can automate the traditionally labor-intensive and time-consuming manual processes involved in error resolution. This automation contributes to achieving comprehensive modernization and streamlining of operations.

Rocket API

Improved API development controls

This version includes several enhancements aimed at improving the user experience of API development

  • The host connector can now be installed as a Windows service, providing greater convenience and ease of use. Additionally, users have the option to select the communication protocol of the host system.
  • The Composite API project can now be added to API library project with a new option in the Resource Explorer menu.
  • To promote a well-structured project setup and facilitate sharing of Screens across multiple projects, a subfolder can now be created under the Screens Folder.

 

Rocket Modern Experience (MX) [Web Edition]

Aesthetically improved and more accessible web applications

  • The GUI to Web migration utility has been enhanced to achieve better user interface (UI) in MX Web applications that have been migrated from MX Desktop applications.
  • For end users using a Web application in "Kiosk Mode" on an MX Web desktop client, a new parameter configuration has been introduced to restrict users from closing the application tab or switching to other applications.
  • To enable users to create more accessible Web applications, this version includes new configurations and new material design templates.

 

MX Web troubleshooting within MX and Automation Hub

  • The all-new troubleshooting capability for MX Web applications allows administrators to diagnose and profile Web Client sessions directly from within the MX and Automation Hub.
  • With this feature, administrators in the current version can perform the following activities, with more diagnostic capabilities planned for future releases:
    • List live sessions and view their statuses
    • Filter sessions using a flexible search filter
    • Start and stop profiling a session
    • Terminate a session

Guided user tutorial

  • The newly introduced guided user tutorial assists end users in familiarizing themselves with the essential features and menus in the MX and Automation Hub. Upon logging into the Hub, the tour begins automatically. Users also have the option to restart the tour from the Help menu. Future releases will include additional tutorials to further enhance user guidance.

 

Improved User access visibility

  • The User Details page now provides enhanced visibility on access and permissions by including the following additional information
    • User groups from which the user's permissions are derived
    • Types of access the user  possesses
    • Environments that the user can access
