We turn on work wrap in our Grids.

However, we would like to programmatically force a line feed in a cell of the grid. We have not found the character to use to force this to happen.

we would typically do:

tmp.tab<1,row.ptr,col.ptr> = data.record<1,1>:data.record<1,2>

we would like the data.record<1,2> to be on the second line in the cell of the table

we have tried the pipe character (such as Combobox in a grid column).

Have not found this in the manual and/or several places online.

Hi Jesse -

This is completely undocumented behavior, so no guarantees. But I did test it and seems to work for desktop version of AccuTerm GUI. Probably would fail on web version. And I would only recommend with label fields, not text fields. If you insert a CHAR(13) where you want a hard line break, it seems to wrap at the CHAR(13) when setting grid cell value:

tmp.tab<1,row.ptr,col.ptr> = data.record<1,1>:CHAR(13):data.record<1,2>

I did not test this when setting multiple cells, but with a single cell setting GPVALUE(.... , col, row ... ) it seems to work.

Thanks, Pete
