Anyone know if I broke my Universe system trying to activate Python?

I tried to activate the U2 python option using the command from the manual. This is what it returned.

$ ./bin/uvregen -p PY:1
.uvconfig: Permission denied
uvregen: error during regen, process aborted
UniVerse becomes un-authorized due to license change!
Configuration Code:XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXX

That's a scary response. Is it un-authorized now? It's still working but is this going to blow up when I reboot? I'm hoping not and that the real issue is that I didn't execute the command as sudo. I couldn't find any answers online so I'm hoping someone here knows.

Hi Joe,

Using sudo, try the command bin/uvregen -z in the uvhome account to get the current status of your license.

Since the command aborted, unclear if anything was changed.

Thanks,

Neil

Hi Neil,

Thanks for the info. That's what I needed. It looks like my license is fine.
