I have used AccuTerm in limited fashion, (text boxes and lists), in my character based systems.  I would like under the GUI AccuTerm to make the conversion behave as now.  Example from events management:  Customer demographics enter customer number or keyword which brings up a list of customers.  I can see this clearly in the DEMO examples.  Change prompt for customer demographics I invite an <O>ptions and display a little window offering options like <R>entals.  If selected it lists the customers existing rentals.  Selecting a rental the calls the rental summary screen with options.  The <B>uildings option lists buildings on the rental.  Selection of a building shows the details of the building portion of the rental, offers options, one is <I>tems which allows entry of table, chairs, etc.  I can see the in CM the forms DETAIL, LOGIN, and MAIN all in the same program.  The event management would require 7 fo

Hi,   I have two MV basic source tables in an account at the Universe server, let's say, account ACC_1 and source files BP_A and BP_B. I created a GitHub repository for each of them, and cloned them at my local machine.  I could successfully compile and catalog from MVVS BP_A sources, but then, when I opened BP_B folder in MVVS, I can't no longer compile from any of the tables. It keeps giving me the same error:  Compiling: Source = BP_B/SOURCE_FILE_X -----> Compilation ignored.The account to which the file belongs does not match the account connected to the server  When looking at the log, I can see that it is considering BP_B as the account instead of ACC_1.   How can I configure MVVS to be able to compile and catalog from any of the source files?  Should I have one local folder for the account, with subfolders for each source file?  Where does MVVS look for the account when compiling?  Any help appreciated  Regards  Enri

Hi,  I just installed the MV Basic VS Code Extension. I could open a Git folder with Basic programs, connect to the U2 server, and compile!   But I have a problem. The source file is not BP, has another name, and every program I open is recognized as "Plain Text". I have to click on "Plain Text" and then select "Rocket MV Basic" as language.  Is there any place where I should indicate the association to all the programs in the folder?  Regards,  Enrique

Hi, I configured the plugin to connect to my Unidata server, but I keep getting: "Failed to connect account". This is a remote server on my network. Also I'm aware I cannot modify the programs directly on the server. Is there a log that I can check to see what is the problem?  We also have some custom rpc service name, could that be a problem?I just want to be able to access the catalog programs so the GOTO Definition works, same for the include statements.Any help is greatly appreciated.Alejandro

I am working on a SB+ screen app where when I bring up a record, information gets displayed, and then when I immediately press F2, this error (in the subject) is displayed followed by:index: 0 to one dimension matrix is out of range..at which time SB+ aborts to the colon prompt.I've checked my code to see if I'm updating some common variable in an unusual fashion but not finding anything like that.  Can anyone with access to the source please tell me which variable is whacked and what I can do about it?Another oddity, I am pressing F2 while the common variable CNT = 1. However, when inspect ​CNT, it's always 1315 - which is about 22% through the mv's being shown on the screen.  This doesn't happen all the time, but with one specific record I can make it happen EVERY time.  Also, I checked the record for any weird control characters and there are none.  I even removed the mv set of data with CNT = 1315 and CNT is still 1315 when it blows up.  Any input about what variable is whacked wou

As I've mentioned, I am on Universe, on Linux, using Accuterm. There is a format in these programs I've inherited that looks like this....FPATH='C:\\Users\\kathleenh\\Downloads\\'DOC='2022-Farm-Market-Application.pdf'PRINT CHAR(27):CHAR(2):"<":FPATH:DOC:CHAR(13)Don't really understand it, but don't need to if it works - which it does :)But what I am trying to do right now is move a doc (jpeg, xlsx, word, pdf, whatever) from either a network spot OR a c drive location to another spot within a basic program. I tried using a '<' and then a '>' for the two locations but that didn't work.My question is does anyone know how (or if possible) to use this feature (which I think is Accuterm) to move a file from one location to another?OR......What other functions / tools would work to do this? Obviously the user has to have permission to both files. Since I can do the above command to either the C drive or network drives I imagine access is not the issue or holdup - just my ignorance. I

I have created a REST service using MVIS, which will "listen" for inbound calls.Can it also be used to send outbound REST calls, or would that require a U2 program to utilize BASIC host subroutines (like createSecureRequest, etc.)  outside of MVIS?

We have dozens of SOAP web services in production that were built using Web Services Developer Tool v4.23.0 (2017).  We now need to build RESTful web services and find the equivalent tool is RESTful Web Services Developer v4.63.0 (2017).These both seem to have been abandoned by Rocket in favor of MVIS.  The  MVIS data sheet says it requires UV 11.3.3 and we are currently running UV 11.3.1.  As we are going into a busy time of year, we cannot consider a UV upgrade until early 2023 at best.  However, we need to create. test and publish REST services in the next few months. Does anyone have any advice?

I have seen a bunch of changes through the years on additional functionality on this tool. Is there a comprehensive list of what this tool currently can do? I am a VAR and one of my clients expressed interest in it and I cannot find anything on the website.Below are a bunch of questions about the functionality this product has: How does it keep the connection alive if I am in a zoom meeting for 4 hours? Does it allow record locking on the server while I am editing it? Is there a before Read Call? Is there an after Write Call? Is there an after Delete Call? I was talking to a would-be large client about MVIS tools but I had no idea if it could scale. They will be doing about 250K to 1000K transactions daily. hello folks,I try to define a euro.CVT configuration usable on CUI and GUI  with sbclient.We want to store euro symbol on char(158) 0x9e working on windows-1252, euro U+20AC is 0x80 char(128)so, I define a config file euro.CVT like this :  [input] 0x9E=0x80 [output] 0x80=0x9E [display] ​ and I set it in SBclient Nationality Setup so, it works correctly on GUI mode but on CUI I receive bad char.- at basic INPUT I receive char(95)  - at display the oem2ansi is not done and the display show badchar from codpage/font 'Ç' (0x80) 'hard position into font ... . can you share any idea how to setup correctly to use CUI/GUI together with the same config ? PS : working on universe, CONVERT_EURO is 0 (off)regardsmanu

Hi I am looking to support a scenario where multiple users share a single workstation and want to work in my SBXA application within the context and constraints of their own user accounts.I'd like to make this switch of user accounts (which is frequent) as quick and painless as possible. And my initial thoughts are to explore smart cards/NFC cards and readers to achieve this.Wondering if anyone has given some thought to how one might go about integrating smartcard/NFC readers with SBXA.Initial thoughts are to explore custom control in SB/XA written in .NET and have it listen for commands and invoke BASIC program to login/logout etc.Not sure if there will be any way to programmatically log a different user in, or whether the SH.SEC.API can decrypt a password, or whether switch of users can occur without knowing the password.Note windows single sign on is not and cannot be used.I would welcome some idea or alternative approaches that the community has implemented to address a similar cha
